	SIMULATOR I/2009 HIGHLIGHTS Gentlemen, The program for Simulator session for beginning of this year will cover preparation in HOT WEATHER OPERATION. The Simulator Session will start at mid of January 2009. In order to get better result, we would like to inform all B-747 Crews to prepare well. HOT WEATHER OPERATION High ground temperatures have important effects on passengers and crew comfort and generally decrease aircraft performance. Some consideration should be given : 1. Use of Air-conditioning, keep aircraft cool. 2. Brake Temperatures Level. 3. Take-off and initial climb, prepare for Temperature Inversion that would be decreasing aircraft performance. 4. Using Alternate Take off Procedures (No Packs takeoff, use of the APU on take off, Improved Climb Performance). 5. Brake cooling. Simulator Highlights are : 1. Engine Start Malfunction. 2. Electrical System. 3. Hydraulic System Leak/Loss. 4. Flight control System.
